Not drinking this week, but that won't stop me from preparing to drink. Getting a starter going for a brew this weekend.

Nice haul. We have stepped up our game.

FBD is a La Fin du Monde.

After last night's whiskey tasting shite show, I'm taking it easy tonight. FBD is a Mudbug King Cake ale. Very nicely done. It really does taste like king cake, more so as it warms. This will be a good addition to the Louisiana craft beer scene once he goes into production.

I am sure that seemed like such a good idea at the time. You must have thought that Dean's wife was still out of town.

Ha. It's likely that his wife is equally as cool as mine when it comes to going out with friends. When I head out with one group of friends she always makes some smart arse comment about "see you when you come home drunk after midnight."

She is a good one for sure. There are times when B has some of the Krewe over and I know she must be tired from the day, but she welcomes us anyway.

Same here. My wife is cool about it as long as I am not driving.

FBD is a St. Arnold Icon Blue

First time trying. Wonderful hop aroma with chocolate malts lingering in the background. Really nice citrus notes up front on the tongue that balance nicely with the roasted malts. Initially, I thought it finished a tad too bitter, but as it warmed the malt sweetness became more pronounced. Very drinkable mouthfeel.

I'm definitely digging this beer. Well done St. Arnold!

So my memory is good. BUT, like you said...it was only $2.75 so no biggie.

Local options are quickly improving. I'm surprising another micro/craft brewery hasn't opened in New Orleans yet.
