Swung into Bulldog on my way home. Going from work to PD to class was a bit much for one day.
FBD was an Imperial Reserve
2BD was a Turtle Neck
Last time I had the Reserve I was blown away by it. All I'd had was a South Coast before that, so my palate was fresh. Tonight it was my FBD. That's not the same beer. Severely diminished. Might pop my bottles soon. I'm nervous. Maybe 1 more BD while I prep my materials for one of my kids that's going on maternity leave.

I think some of the kegs are off a bit. What do you mean by "diminished"? Did you pick up any funk? The bottles are still fine. I would not worry about them.

I've had 2 bottles since Grand Reserve Day and they were great. I had it on tap at the brewery on 1/2 and it had a slight, but noticeable, brett funk to it.

That's great news. I guess it's just another reason why GOAT Raft and their elite Coffee Lager are the best brewery in the state.

It was my first time having the bourbon barrel version. It was fantastic. I think I'd pick it over BCBS if I had to choose.
