I shared a stone enjoy by 4/20 with my bro. Pretty dank. Waiting until dinner for my next beers but plan to keep it cheap.

I toured Buffalo Bayou Brewery yesterday. Its a small nice local brewery here in Houston. For $10 you get a mason jar with their logo on it and 3 tokens to try any of their beers on tap. The warehouse itself is tiny and while i figured it would be small, it was even smaller than i originally imagined. Its amazing they can produce so much beer in there. Located inside the loop of Houston off of I-10 at TC Jestner you can literally see the highway from 1 block over. Houston zoning laws are funny that way.

I tried the watery beer that was already in the glass when they give it to you plus 3 different premium beers. Then a fourth when someone gave me their extra token. My selections were Ginger Citrus, Black Raz, Belgo Black Rye IPA, and Buffalo Sunset. The raz is a dessert beer with razberry and cherry notes. The Buffalo Sunset was my absolute favorite, rich authenic coffee flavor with vanilla notes, Ginger Citrus is an awesome IPA i have had many times before with grapefruit and lemon flavor, and the Black Rye is described as "dark, & roasty through the mouth, finishing bone dry with a peppery Belgo-rye spice dismount."

If you live around or ever in Houston i highly recommend visiting. The only thing i would recommend its to bring your own lawn chairs and maybe even a snack. There is a talented food truck on site though serving such creations as Dork "pork/duck" burgers.

It's just a couple miles from me, but they just continue to put out sub par beers. I give them an A for effort because they're doing things that nobody else is, but they miss a whole lot more often then they hit.

I checked out Austin Beerworks yesterday and man they had a top tier DIPA and RIS with coffee.

I want to visit 8th Wonder and Karbach next. Several people at the event were saying great things about 8th Wonder. I dont care for St Arnolds beers but i will visit them as well.

I've been to 8th wonder a couple times as it's just a few blocks from my office. It's a really cool place. Old warehouse with a big open concept. IPAs need improvement there, but overall the beers aren't bad. When in doubt just order a Rocket fuel vietnamese coffee porter. Incredible.
