FBD. I'm digging having Bruery stuff readily available. Also picked up ingredients to try my hand at a clone of it.
For someone who isn't a big sour fan but loves a good stout, would I enjoy this? Worth dropping $20 on?

homebrewed coffee vanilla porter. Perhaps the best beer I've ever made.
Good to hear. Would like to try.
3BD is another Hop Ranch.

It'll all be gone after the race on Saturday in Mandeville. I may see if I can bottle one or two before hitting the road, but I likely won't have time. Still needs another day to carbonate fully.

Yep. I've got 'em, I may as well drink 'em.

I know I'm in the minority, but I thought Victory DirtWolf was way better than Hop Ranch.

I could totally drink with you. Our tastes really seem to overlap nicely. I love Juliet and the Sisters in general.
3BD and my LBD

They are different styles, but both great. I don't think either is way better than the other.

More than likely not. Much less a stout and more fruity and acidic. The base stout comes through a little on the nose, but after that it gets lost in the mix.

Ru and I were talking about that Saturday, I was torn. I'd need a side-by-side to conclusively say, but my initial impression says I might agree with you. DirtWolf is just so "dank" tasting. I really enjoy it.

DirtWolf is thicker and more resiny and perhaps a little more balanced than Hop Ranch. I might change my opinion on which I prefer, but I think it would be a close call.

I'd need more testing. Preferably on a fresh palate. Both of my encounters with those beers came after I'd had a wee bit to drink, so I'll be the first to admit my taste buds were less than mavenly.

Always a good idea.

I am not disagreeing with you. I am just saying they are both great. We'll need extensive side by side research to reach a conclusion.

Nothing is better than a great IPA to me. I've just recently gotten into sours and I'm liking them a lot. The only GI sisters I've had so far are Lolita and Juliet. Both are great. Research will be conducted further.

LBD....likely.
Great beer for the price; $10 for 750ml.
Will probably be a beer for tomorrow. Thinking about The Chimes for lunch to start things off.

Had two Stone IPAs tonight while packing for the last hunting trip for the season for me.
Packed some Ruthless Ryes and Parade ground porters so it should be a good trip regardless of what the deer do.
Seemed like two good beers for this cold arse weather we're about to have. TenFIDY would be nice too. Might go raid the cellar for something real good in case I stick a monster.
