By the way I was asked to leave a bar last night and I think part of the reason was beer related. I believe--according to my wife--I was making fun of a big group of tourists beer selection. Then right on cue the waitress brings a Budweiser to the table.

That's awesome.

If I had three days to kill in San Fran area would I need to plan one brewery a day or could I hit multiple? Planning something for a few days between wife's end semester and inter-semester classes in a couple months.

You could most definitely do more than 1 per day assuming you can drive after you leave the first one.

The furthest away is Bear Republic at 71 miles away. The closest is Launitas which is just under an hour away. Then Russian River is another 15 minutes from there and finally Bear Republic is 18 minutes from there.

Here is a MAP

Chances are you would be sloshed after that but if you had a DD or rented a limo or something like that it would be a ton of fun.

You could spend 1 or 2 days in SF drinking at breweries and bar and bottle shops.

Bookmarked.

Bouncing between San Fran, Tampa (family in the area), DC, and New York again.

Listen to this Man. I followed his game plan and had a blast in SF...

you could hit Toronado and Magnolia on the same day (blocks apart from each other)...although you may end up just wanting to camp out at Toronado the whole time--yes its that cool.

I highly recommend having a driver for trips to Santa rosa for the Russian River. its a ways out there from SF and you are not going to be sober when you leave unless you just drive out there to load up on bottles to ship back.

I didn't hit Lagunitas or BR, but would have loved to if we had the time

what is the best way to order from france44 to get a full box?

It depends on whether you are ordering bottles or cans or bombers or some combo. 24 cans or bottles fill one box. Their "shopping cart" order thingy is very good about telling you when you have exceeded one container.

Haha. If I were you I would sign up (with a junk email) for groupon, living social, and other sites for San Francisco. They often have limo deals.

So I'm making a beer run to Houston this weekend. What new releases should I be looking for? Has Firestone Walker reached Houston? Founders?

Is there still any Boxers Revenge or RU-55 left?
