It changes based upon availabilty. But, two things are always on the menu. BBQ shrimp for an appetizer and banana creme pie for dessert. You cannot go wrong with either.

Just be sure to get the banana cream pie for dessert.

I would do the pork or a steak in between what glassman suggested.

Excellent housemade breads as well.

The hangar steak for lunch is incredible. Not sure if they have it for dinner though.

just got back, EXCELLENT service, meal and restaurant.

started with the BBQ shrimp which were good but not spectacular IMO. sauce was good.

i got an awesome filet, cooked perfectly M-RARE surrounded by potatoes

i got the banana cream cake (forgot the actualy name) but that was UNREAL. i originally wanted the chocolate souffle but they said it would take 30 mins so i heeded the advice of the FnD board and got it. i'm not even a fan of banana desserts but holy shite i was blown away.

service was attentive to everything going on and it was truly what a restaurant should be like. i haven't eaten out in NOLA in a while but i really need to more often because it's easy to forget that we truly do have some of the best restaurants in the country.

about 3/4 through the meal roman harper walked in

Probably about $80 if you don't buy any alcohol for 3 courses.

There is a 19.50 3 course lunch, but you don't have many options when you order the pre-fixe lunch.

Is $80 about right for dinner? I haven't been to Emerils in 3 years.

came out to roughly 75 a person. really not bad at all considering most of us got drinks and we had a bottle of wine. if you don't want to get a full entree you can go for the "small plates" and "not so small plates" which are a little cheaper but you can fill up with two or three of them. scallops were great too.
