Haven't had the other two. So so far you've yet to name one. Congrats.

It was actually better with me adding other things not in the recipe

This is the point.

It's not the best grilled oyster dish in town. The Cochon oysters are the best I've had. They use a garlic chili butter. Blows Drago's garlic-parm butter out of the water.

he saying they aren't as good as Drago's. I can name many more than 10 places that serve them, but I can't name many places that make them better.

Can't speak for Carrollton Market but the others are not better IMO.

Then we simply agree to disagree.

I don't love the butter sauce that Drago's uses. It's tasty but not my preference.

I never said they were better than drago's... Pascal manale's are nearly the same and drago's doesn't deserve to be in same breathe as that restaurant with literally any other thing they serve

Surely you wouldn't disagree that Drago's oysters are generally considered among the best in the city, even though you don't particularly prefer them?

Yea, its not the new orleans food snobs that tell you drago's is average, its everyone from new orleans that knows the city has so much more to offer. Think everyone is tired of hearing about drago's from every tom dick and sally tourist without a fricking clue about new orleans cuisine. Yes, the chargrilled oysters are good from drago's. There are about 10 dif places in new orleans that have comparable versions. It's not fricking rocket science. Drago's as a restaurant is not good by any standards. Its average over-priced food with sketchy service. If you think drago's oysters are one of new orleans top dishes it simply means you need to get around the city more.

What do you call all that and then listing other places that serve them?

Not IMO.

Good thing the thread wasn't about the entire menu. How are you still not getting that?

If you can't read your own words and not see how it is implied you think Drago's oysters are nothing special, I really don't know what to tell you.

If it's not rocket science then why can't the best oyster place in town not serve up a comparable charbroiled oyster ?

And the ones you make aren't as good as theirs. Congrats on still not getting the point.

ha, the girl i dated in high school worked as a line cook at drago's downtown and prepared these very coveted oysters you are sucking off, which is how i got the original recipe we used to replicate them on the grill. I know unequivocally there is nothing special...

Ok buddy. You're right. They are nothing special, and there is no reason they are so well known and recommended. I've seen the light.
