Right next to Basin. Looks like some sort of sports bar maybe? Tracey's is moving right there too.

Cho Thai

Hated that they closed down. I thought their food was outstanding.

Service left a lot to be desired, but I feel like that was most places in NOLA

It’s crazy how such a great location (with free parking) has never had a restaurant do good there.

isn't there a Great American Sports Saloon in the FQ, on Decatur I believe, with a great balcony?

It's pretty competitive and when everything is open there are probably too many restaurants. That said, yeah, some have made it a long time and others doors are revolving.

Banana Blossom in Old Gretna. Same folks. Great food and the service has always been on point. A bit smaller space, but very nice.

the happy hour was nice, but overall the prices were high. Eating there was dull & didn't check any boxes as far as service & experience. Felt like eating at a chinese buffet restaurant.

The chef at pomelo opened a second location called Food Catch in the CBD. I have already enjoyed it twice.

I do like Pomelo better though.

Yeah I didn't really care for Cho Thai. The service wasn't great, the food was fine but not memorable, and the portions weren't great imo.

We would go with groups of 4-6 and thought the portions were enough to share amongst the group.

We would be there for a solid 2 hours due to the slow service though

I guess I'm spoiled by secret thai. The only place I can legitimately make 2 or meals out of one dish.

They brought on the owner of Banana Blossom to help open this place or he had some type of ownership? I can't remember. Either way Banana Blossom was much better than Cho Thai
