Leaving to go to Orlando this weekend. Anybody have any good restaurant recommendations that you've eaten at or heard of that are really good?
Looking for anything, it doesn't matter.
What say you?

Food is average, but it is a really fun place to eat.

France, Morroco, and Italy were all good when I was there. Stay away from Mexico and England. Most places in the Magic Kingdom are terrible.

The Pub in BRITAN right on the lagoon is great fun and the best place in the park to see Illuminations at night. Best food is downstairs in France.

I had reservations to check out the Luau but it was cancelled due to severe cold weather.
The buffet at Germany is decent...sorry if Germans.

My family and I go there every time. The pot roast is dank and the desserts on the view-master is classic.
A really good restaurant is Ohana's at the Polynesian resort. It's like Texas de Brazil.

theres a canadian restaurant that has awesome steaks. it starts with a C...i forget the name...but you have to have reservations six months in advance usually. you could call and check for cancellations that day though. if i could remember the damn name!

Narcosis in the Grand Floridian came higly recommended. Great steak. Great Lobster. Pretty expensive (even for Disney)

i just stick to the hamburgers over there when i go ... everything is overpriced and average quality .. might as well go for the cheapest overpriced average item .. save the money for booze at the espn zone and the microbrewery on the boardwalk ..

My wife and I ate there, and it is def. good, but not worth that kind of money. We were able to use part of our meal plan for it. There is actually a higher end restaurant at the Grand Floridian. Not worth it.
I kind of agree with Rag, just eat at average places and don't worry about spending a great deal of money. I guess part of that logic comes from being spoiled by the value of great N.O. and south La restaurants.

basically anyone coming from south louisiana is going to quickly realize the food at disney -- especially in the posh resort places -- is bland, poorly prepared, and way overpriced for what they get ... people coming in from michigan probably think they died and went to heaven when they eat there ... but you are going to drop $20 easily on a burger and fries ... so guess what you will drop on sushi or a steak ?? it is the happiest place on earth .. but also the only place on earth that i have spent $100 on MYSELF to eat and walked away hungry ..

My friend's parents dropped $350 at the nice place at the Grand Floridean and they compared it to maybe an average meal such as what you might get at Brennans.
I will say, I found none of the food bad at Disney.

Plus the entertainment was pretty good if you like that sort of thing. We did just about every character meal they offer and this was our only non character dinner while we were there. I enjoyed the atmosphere, beer, food and entertainment.

If you factor in food and atmosphere, the one place I would try to eat is the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. If you can book it in the evening to see a sunset or fireworks, etc, that would be worth it.

i wouldn't call any of the food there bad by any stretch ... it's just that the taste doesn't justify the tab at all ... i would just personally rather spend my money on other stuff around disney than food .. that's all ..
