Need somewhere for the wife and I to go tonight for a b-day dinner? We've been to Ruth's, Sullivan's, Gino's, all the new ones Downtown, Galotoires, Fleming's, Bin 77, La Lagniappe, Texas De Brazil, Mansur's, Le Creole, Ruffino's, and some others. Looking to maybe try something different.

Decent list. I'll add Beausoliel, Flemings, Jubans

Beausoleil

And I said it last week, but Bin 77 has blown me away lately. The Friday night atmosphere is a blast too. No reservations, but they let you call 30 minutes ahead and put your name down. There will be live music on the patio if you want to get a table out there. Last time it was jazz (which I prefer), but sometimes it is more upbeat.

I love Bin77 and the Side Bar. Fantastic atmosphere, drinks, and food.

Edited list to add Flemings and Bin 77, I've been to Juban's but the wife hasn't. Beausoliel is one that was on my short list, also Roberto's (I've been, she hasn't). I like the idea if Bin 77 for the atmosphere and drinks, wife is pregnant so IDK how much she really wants to do...

Bin 77 has a lot of high top tables (but it may have changed since I haven't been in a while). May not be comfortable for a pregnant lady.

Still early, so comfort isn't a huge factor right now.

Besides sitting at the bar, I did not see any high top tables

Should've added that to my original list as well. We spent a weekend there and ate at all of their restaurants. The whole weekend was great.

I think so far my short list is:

Bin 77 (Both have been, but we like the food and atmosphere)
Roberto's (She's never been)
Juban's (She's never been)

Might add a couple more.

I have heard some good reviews about the The Rancis Southdown (not the BBQ) but might be a drive, and I haven't been but going to try it within the next few weeks.

Good luck on reservations at a decent time. I know when I was at Mansur's, I could count on at least close to 400 guests on a Friday before a game like Florida. You might be stuck with leftover time frames sitting before or after a table.

Oddly, OpenTable is showing decent times at Beausoleil.

OP, I'd do there simply because it is on your list of places to try and they still have good reservations open.
