Dinner for first-time NOLA visitors + Happy Hour

I'm bringing two buddies to the LSU game this Saturday, but we're spending Friday in New Orleans. They'll be easy to please, but I'd prefer to not step into a tourist trap. And for selfish reasons, I'd like to enjoy a quality meal while in town. Listed below is the criteria in more detail:
- In FQ or walking distance is preferable, but short streetcar or uber ride would be OK
- Casual
- Entrees under $25
- Unique to NOLA/Louisiana (no pizza or taco joints)
- Lively environment is a plus
ETA: Looking for Friday happy hour suggestions for prior to dinner. Oyster specials would be great too.

Borgne would fit your description as well. They have a small plates happy hour.

Check out any Besh restaurant for happy hour. I'd recommend Luke if you are interested in oysters.
