1. I live in Arlington, VA
2. Getting up late on Saturday and Subdays. Making my way down to Celtic House, a Irish dive bar.
3. Ordering Full Irish Breakfast, Bloody Mary and shot of Jameson.
4. Set for the entire day.

Pic below is actually from a breakfast in Dublin, Ireland I had.

Probably should have taken pic before I started.

I had a meal in May that's hard to top. 1/2 dozen oysters on the 1/2 shell, 4 lbs boiled crawfish followed by a soft-shelled crab poboy. That's about the only time of year all three are good. I guess I should have had some shrimp cocktail to hit for the cycle. It was at Village Inn in River Ridge.

Bar Boulud, shortly before getting married. A friend of my wife took us there and she had dated the sommolier. Food and drink for 4 hours outside on a beautiful night in NYC. Good food, drinks and conversation with friends and people we met sitting around is.
I may have had better meals, but I still hold this night as one of the best of my life

Gila Wilderness Area, NM, 7 miles away from any road or anybody, grilling hour old wild turkey breast over an open fire with a small seasoning packet that I packed in with my Dad, conversing about nothing and everything at the same time while the sun sets behind the mountains

Doing an all day smoke of something with friends and drinking beers all day, then eating the feast is a hard food experience to top IMO

Helping my old man and grandad make duck and sausage gumbo out of that mornings kill, as a kid. I was usually on top of the potato salad with strong supervision from my grandad.
