Jolie's Louisiana Bistro and Blue Dog Cafe are both on Pinhook. So's Ruth's Chris. Don't go to Guidry's across from the Hilton.

Dat's good, too. Also, Poseidon's is on Kaliste Saloom, but it's in a strip mall (not sure if I'd really call it that) that faces Pinhook.

Sucks the high heavens. Go to Cafe Vermilionville down the road instead.

Yep, block down the street from Blue dog and Cafe Vermilionville. All you can eat Chicken and sides buffet and 3 stall baffroom!

Well, if you are on the Broussard side of pinhook...Riverside can't be beat. If you are on the DT side...Well you might as well go to ambassador caff then go all the way to riverside.

I've had a number of good meals at Guidry's across from the Hilton and very good service. If you want fried seafood, it's very good. I'm not a fan of the gumbo, though, so I'd skip that. I've seen some grilled or blackened fish go by my table a few times that looked good, but I usually get something else. The au gratin (sans the cheese topping) is good if you like that though with Isaac having recently passed through, I don't know what the state of jumbo lump crabmeat is.

I do not like Blue Dog. I've given it several chances and it's just not worth it. Years ago, it was pretty decent. Hasn't been in a long time.

Agree on Riverside if you're not far from there. It's a short trip and very worthwhile.
