You enjoy it. That's basically a smothered chicken poboy.

I eat chicken certain ways, but unless it's buried in some other sauce or smoked, it doesn't have much flavor to me. I love fried and smoked chicken wings and some fried chicken, but I mostly eat the crust on big pieces rather than meat. A sausage only gumbo would be fine with me. I just add extra to gumbo for myself.

Just Andouille, or any sausage? Is it a pork thing? Texture? You're the first I've heard who doesn't like sausage. I would gladly take the sausage you picked out.

It's the taste. Like I said, I eat chicken sausage.. and other random sausages we make as appetizers. But I don't like the taste of andouille.

ETA: When I say "don't like", take it loosely. There isn't one food I flat out DON'T eat. I'll eat anything anyone gives me because I think personally feel like it makes me look like I have bad manners to not eat something. And if I'm hungry enough, preferences can go out the window.

It doesn't interrupt the dish, you just don't like one of the main components of the dish. It's not like it is out of place.

It's the same reason I prefer meatless pasta.. meatless salads.. etc.

Those things are good on their own. I usually eat around the meat. Or eat all the meat first and then eat the pasta/lettuce/rice/etc.

Which way does the board hang their toilet paper?

I like mine coming over the top towards me like it's presenting itself to me for my convenience.

Will the app adjust sausage quantities by surface area based on style of sausage cut?

TP should go over the top unless you have cats that play with the TP. Then, you might want to put it on backwards.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't been anchored with the two word title.

Its not a restaurant name is the reason I'm guessing. All is well in the can't advertise restaurants on the food board world

I don't know. They've anchored plenty with two word titles that weren't about restaurants. I don't think people RA those. I guess they just happen to see them from time to time.

My threads are too cool to get anchored. Sorry for partying.

Am I the only one who quarters the sausage rounds before putting in gumbo or jambalaya? I cut the round sections a little thicker than most, and quarter them from there.

That is exactly the way I do it and for the same reason. I also seems to go further/makes it harder for the first ones to serve to consume all the sausage!

Sausage is round because the mix exerts force equally in all directions inside the casing.
