Only been there (#43), Tales & Spirits in Amsterdam (#44), & Williams & Graham in Denver (#50) but those might be my 3 favorite bars

Never even heard of Cure. What's it like? Where in New Orleans is it?

Cure

High end craft cocktails, creative knowledgeable bartenders, solid rare bourbon selection....just a great atmosphere for a drink when you're doing it a little upscale

Fortunately, I've seen a couple "tutorials" of the joint so hopefully I'll not do the same

It's on Freret Uptown. Definitely on my short list of places to go to soon.

it's a pretty relaxed, nice place. Great for all sorts of liquors and not just cocktails. Last time I was there, I was trying mezcal and the bartender graciously gave us a few free samples of different kinds without any provocation.

What is the attire there? It seems more upscale from what I've heard.

I've seen everything from polo/jeans to suits for guys...tops/jeans to cocktail dresses for gals

Usually when we go I've got at least a buttondown, but it's pretty wide open

I really liked Clover Club for every day drinking, but PDT or Attaboy for initial impression/shock value.

I actually like Pouring Ribbons and Temple Bar more...and I like Bouligny more than Cure...but it seems like a good list. It seems London heavy though.

In the last two years (3 trips to Nyc) most high end cocktail bartenders in nyc would say nola has at least as good cocktail bars as them...so I think another nola bar would have been good.

Only Temple Bar I've been to was an American craft beer bar in Amsterdam...

Bouligny is a great spot, we actually hit it more than Cure, guess b/c it's on Magazine and on the walk home from the spots past Louisiana Ave

Sazerac Bar in the Roosevelt is great too, but often too packed. Need to get to Bellocq soon, but there are definitely some top notch mixers in this city
