So many people fix it different, this is my family's favorite recipe.
Break up one cooked recipe of cornbread, crumble well, slightly moisten 1/2 loaf day old french bread with water, crumble mix in with cornbread. Add one med. chopped onion, 4 or 5 stalks chopped celery, 3 chopped hard boiled eggs, 4 chopped green onions and 1/2 cup chopped parsley. Pour chicken stock over this till very moist but not soupy. While baking chicken or turkey spoon some of the pan drippings over the dressing ( about 3 T.) Bake 30 to 40min in 350 oven.
When making cornbread leave out the sugar in recipe.

What works for me: In Google, type tigerdroppings.com, then type the key words you are searching for, such as cornbread dressing. This thread appeared on the the first page of the search results......third result.
Here are the Google search results I described above.

Basically, this is good. You also need some sage, poultry seasoning, red pepper and celery salt to taste. When you like the taste add a beaten egg, pour in a casserole and bake at 350 until done.... about 45 min or so
