I wholeheartedly applaud the natural dog food and such, but I question your true dedication to your fur baby. If you really cared, you'd smoke all the ingredients in lieu of spices.

3 bags of peas - $6 ($1.99 each)
3 bags of carrots - $7.50 ($2.50 each)
2 boxes of brown rice - $6 ($2.99 each)
You could shop smarter on the chicken and the rice. Buy a massive bag of brown rice at Costco

Dogs don't eat raw chicken in the wild that was killed days prior and sent through some processing plant and then packaged and then sat in a cooler before you brought it home and finally served it to them. If you want to let your dog hunt a live chicken, ok, but feeding them raw chicken from the store is not "natural."

But boiled chicken, frozen peas and brown rice replicates their natural diets in the wild?

Is there any other veggies you have tried or do you just stick to carrots & peas?

Why not just do it raw?
My son's girlfriend feeds their husky a raw diet. It's a lot of work for her.
They also only feed him once a day and he is HUNGRY by the time feeding time rolls around. He starts talking a couple of hours before. When I dog sit, he might get a treat or two ahead of feeding. He's my grand dog, it's my right to spoil.

My local Costco has a cooler with Deli Fresh dog food. A 6lb bag was $20.
