McDonald's coffee used to be pretty good.

Driving all night through west texas will really make you appreciate how bad gas station coffee can be. Once it starts being all alsups you might as well switch to energy drinks.

OP is right. Fancy machine with grinders on top, coffee still sucks. A normal pot of Community Coffee at a gas station is still unsurpassed.

I roast my own now and you can tell the difference between fresh coffee and store bought coffee that was roasted a year ago.

Unless you're on the road for work, that's why you just brew it at home. Fresh community coffee every morning at exactly the same strength that I want it.

When I lived in Atlanta, DD was solid. The one in Covington is horrible

No it doesn’t. There is much better coffee out there than Community, although Community isn’t horrible.

Community dark tastes like shite and I'll die on that hill. Burnt beans almost as bad as Starbucks. IDK how everyone in Louisiana wants to drink it.

Their breakfast blend and Cafe special are good though. I prefer other local roasts but I'm not mad if that's all I have.

I love good coffee, but I can drink truckstop coffee without hesitation.
In a perfect world I’m using fresh ground coffee from whole beans (preferably community) and French press. That’s a solid cup of coffee
