I took a roast out of the freezer and plan on cooking it tonight. I usually just make a roast rice n gravy but I wanted to try something different with this one. Are they any good on the grill? Any suggestions would be appreciated

My wife has smoked a few lately then made a gravy, pretty tasty

Since it looks like a big ribeye I was considering marinating it real well then browning it in a skillet before cooking it on the grill but i'm worried it may be to tough

Count on it.
I've smoked a few before. I'd rather have a pot roast.

I'd imagine you wouldn't need to smoke it long to get the flavor.

Smoked just like a Boston Butt, they come out fine. I usually just toss them in a slow cooker with cream of mushroom and veggies.

Just this once you will hear a method to use seriously, boil it in a pot set up for crawfish of shrimp.
