Its ok. Extremely overpriced on most. Gourmet Butcher Block is at 2144 Belle Chasse Hwy, Gretna, LA 70056.

Only reason worth going to the westbank

I have enjoyed every de-boned stuffed chicken I have gotten there. I realy like their boudin, as well as their sausage (try the Tiger Sausage).

I have never tried any of their frozen dinners or their marinated meats.

There is one in Lakeview near my house.

I prefer teh butcher Block Turducken, otherwise give me Chris' Specialty meats.

I have gotten a number of things from CMM in N.O. Ive liked everything and think the sausage in particular is very good. Its a quality product that is convenient for me to access.

Incorrect. Second reason is for cracklins at Danny and Bonnie Seafood on Belle Chasse Hwy.

Just about everything I have gotten there has been very good ....stuffed chickens, stuffed porkchops, gumbo, red beans, white beans, boudin...etc.

The frozen gumbo/beans are absurdly easy and quick for emergency weeknight meals. It may be more expensive at Chris', but I am not driving out to the westbank to save money.

I've found their stuff to be pretty mediocre, and overpriced. There are much better similar places that I prefer -- Hebert's in Maurice, Benoit's in Addis, Bergeron's in Port Allen, etc

I enjoyed everything I got from there. The stuffed artichoke was maybe the best I ever had.
I got a stuffed bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and it was only $16. A regular tenderloin costs me $10 at Rouse's.

Also had stuffed jalapenos and some sausages. Everythin was good. I will go back when in area.

While a little expensive, I find most of the food very good. At least at the New Orleans location, the property isn't exactly cheap so I would expect it to be more expensive than places on the westbank.
