agreed
the piggly wiggly near my house in hammond makes damn good fried chicken and its hardly a dining destination

matter of fact the last time i had chicken and waffles, the little lady made pecan waffles and put the piggly wiggly chicken on top...add maple syrup and go

Not interested in a mediocre restaurant deep frying me a peice of dry chicken breast and putting it over a flat shitty waffle so they can try and be trendy. It's a cool creative dish for Roscoe's because they came up with it and do it very well. It's no fun when every single restaurant on a block serves it and half asses it.

People say its so great because they are told that it is great. Its ok..

Fried Chicken is meant to be eaten with a pickled jalapeno or multiple jalapenos.

The End

Browns in Brusly is the GOAT fried chicken. You could put that chicken on an eggo and it would be the best chicken and waffles you've ever had.

And Steens ftw.

Never had Delpits. I'm just a huge fan of Browns, it's the only fried chicken I thought was head and shoulders better than anything else.

Thanks.

My advice: go to the New Orleans Food Festival the first weekend in April and try Gus's. It is life-changing.
