NorJoe's is pretty much the old Progress Market that used to be just up the street from Central Grocery. Progress Market was always our family favorite for mufalettas. It has held up well.

Found this on another site after Googling (dated 2/24/11).

As a member of the Perrone Family (owners & operators of Progress Grocery) I can clarify things a bit. The bad news first Progress Grocery in the French quarter is closed. We sold the building and the new owners tried to open a business using the name Progresso Grocery. Since we never sold the business and only the building you can see why we were forced to object. The owners then name the business Luigi's and Mario did work with them until the end. Sadly now it has been turned into (another) T-shirt and souvenir shop.

Now for the good news Progress Grocery survives if only in name through our wholesale business Perrone & Sons, Inc. We are not setup for retail in our location as it is an office/warehouse facility however we can and will take care of your needs just as long as you call in advance for an order. Now for the even greater news as of October 2010 we have had our famous original Progress Grocery Muffuletta sandwich in the local Rouses Supermarket Chain. Rouses has plus or minus 30 supermarket stores in the greater New Orleans area and beyond. We still make our own olive salad and we still make our Muffuletta sandwiches daily. Rouses currently only gets our 8" Muffuletta and our new 5" Muffuletta. We DO NOT supply them with the mini-muffulettas so please do not order a tray of mini-muffulettas thinking that you are getting a Progress Grocery muffuletta. As for progressgrocery.com I am currently rebuilding the website but we have not shipped muffulettas for sometime due to the shipping cost involved. We are currently working on some ideas that hopefully would enable shipping muffulettas again, but it still is on the drawing board. Below I will list a couple links to websites for those interested:
perroneandsons.com
progressgrocery.com
rouses.com

I did not notice any label on the Rouse's muffs stating that. then again, I didn't really look.
