Admittedly I've not tasted that many tequilas but had some of this last night served neat and also chilled, it was kick arse.

Any legit tequila aficionados on here?

.....And I expect some to google he most expensive tequila and post about it.

Agreed. The Añejo was released late last year and it is currently my favorite sipping tequila. It's dangerously drinkable, I'm embarrassed at how many bottles I've gone through since my local bottle shop started carrying it.

It's definitely a good starting point to segue into tequila drinking.

Ilegal - Joven
Del Maguey - Pechuga
Del Maguey - Vida
Pierde Almas - Joven

These are the only four I have experience with. All are distinctly different.

I'm a lover of Esperanto Tequila. Not cheap and not easy to find but delicious.

Yes there are. I'm not one of them yet though.
Thanks for the tip on the tequila. How much is it per 5th?

I really enjoy Clase Azul Reposado and Esperanto Anejo. Both are very smooth and tasty. I picked them up in Cozumel a few years ago and still have a little of each left.

I'm going to Isla Mujeres in March and a big reason I'm going there is to bring back a couple bottles of Esperanto.

The liquor store by my house loaded up on tester bottles when it first came out and sells them for $2 a piece. It's pretty great

California Pizza Kitchen uses Casamigos tequila in their Margaritas. Damn fine tequila.
