except it's in Metairie.

As far as Kenner's best kept secret, in terms of Mexican...
I would say Taqueria Chilangos, Georgia's restaurant, Mi Pueblito, Pollos a la Brasa or Fiesta Latina.

All solid true Mexican or Honduran places.

I'll be damned. I always thought David Dr. was the divider.

David drive is the divider between west esplanade and I-10 south of I-10 Roosevelt is the divider, north of West Esplanade it's really odd how it's divided. One side of some streets are Kenner the other Metaire.

-- lol anyone who likes Andrea's, I just cannot take their opinion of food seriously. The worst high end dinner I have ever had in my life was there, everything but the oysters were horrible and the waitress was horrible.

Their red sauce chicken fajitas and the bean dip are still good. And some of their soups.

But agree, time passed them by a bit. BR and Nola and Northshore have seen an increase in quality taquerias, food trucks, Honduran, Salvadoran,etc..

P.S. Rougeans, I was going to La Reyna yesterday, but noticed Franko's Taqueria(open 2 months now), in same strip mall, went in and saw a Mexican contractor I know with his crew, sat with them, and met the owner, nice lady/great cook, makes great tacos, tortas, etc..give it a try..on par with El Limon, El Sol deGuerrero, Los Pinedos.

Around 1984 or 1985 when my chums hit 18, we would go in the bar slamming Margs and endless chips and bean dip during Happy Hr. In following years, had a skinny girlfriend that ate like a bird except for some Garcia chicken fajitas, when she turned into Adam Richman.

Would go to Sound Warehouse across St afterwards to shop some records and what few CDs they had at the time.

Late 80s turn of1990ish headed to NO for greener pastures? Then it became a really good Lebanese place by some nice guys, but they too closed after a few years..

Forget if it were any of the guys behind Albasha or Arzi's?
