Cane's vs Zaxby's.....the truth!

Did Cane's steal their idea (maily sauce) from Zaxby's? Sure. Is Zaxby's product better than Cane's? NO!
I have seen some posters on this site say that Zaxby's is better...well! We stopped in Starkville yesterday, on our way back from Georgia, with one mission on my mind: compare the two. We did. All three of us were not impressed. Their chicken tasted like it had cormeal in the batter, which sucks! And it had way too much salt, as well. The fries were drenched in a funky tasting season-all type seasoning. And their toast is far inferior than Cane's toast.
I am not trying to say that Cane's is a 4-star restaurant, by any means. But anybody who says that Zaxby's is better will no longer be a poster whose opinion I will accept on the matter of food.

I think the general consensus is 2 out of 3 times comparing various Zaxby's vs Cane's, the chicken fingers themselves will be better at Cane's. (Again, not always, but usually.)
But the difference is generally small enough that one would prefer to live or work near a Zaxby's because they have a much more diverse menu.

I wasn't agruing that. I give them the win for diversity, but everybody knows what Cane's has. If somebody doesn't want straight-up chicken fingers, toast, and fries, then go somewhere else...you know?
I was strictly talking about those who said Zaxby's had better tasting food.

I been to Zaxby's several times but I never have been to a Cane's. Zaxby's is ok but nothing great. And the prices are kind of high.

Me either. Chicken fingers as a main focus of a menu should be stricken from any culinary option.

Like I have said to this argument in the past: Sure, Cane's is fast-food, but it is good fast food. Look at shitty fast-food chains like McDonald's, BK, Jack-in-the-box, and Krystal. Their food is all processed crap, and they normally stay busy, too. The world is full of people who love crappy food.

I was reading an article about McDonalds and some of the menu items that were discontinued. I remember most of the idems that they no longer serve but what got my attention was the chicken mcnuggets. Until seven years years ago they were made with both white and dark liquid chicken. Today the MCNuggets are made only with the white liquid chicken. What in the hell is liquid chicken? I looked up filet of fish at the McDonalds site and that site proved to be some very interesting reading.

If you are going to accuse someone of stealing at least try to get the story right. The idea was implemented from Guthries Chicken Fingers. And I hate when people said he stole it.
Hell, I used to say he stole it and that is a poor choice of words.

I'd say they stole more from KFC. Dave Thomas was a Col Sanders disciple. Wendy's chicken sandwiches and nuggets are solid due to Thomas expertise at chicken from Kentucky Fried days.
