What's this weather going to do to the festival? Bring slicker suits?

It's gonna be perfect. It may be wet from the day before but no rain in the forecast.

Yep, Completely agree.

Hogs sounds nice but it's a shame they're on the same day.

I'll be in my SouthOfSouth jersey come find me... just joking but that would be funny.

Hopefully the rain comes and goes very quickly to ensure a dry ground for Saturday. Saturday is supposed to be cloudy and like 75. Good day for a beer festival. Hopefully the ground will hold up though.

Seems like that place could turn into a swamp very quickly.

Yea, to be honest I am more concerned about the ground for our pre-party than I am for the festival itself.

I remember it was wet a few years ago, maybe long ago to be before the homebrews made a big appearance, but it was a mess. A lot of that place is heavily shaded so it wont dry quick, and there is little or no grass under the trees. Wear your white rubber boots!

There is the canal right there, so you could certainly do that. Not sure if you would want to touch the water though.

Last year it was bordering on too crowded, hopefully they don't try to squeeze even more people in that space this year.

I'm with R2R on this one. Way too crowded the last couple of years and sticking all the homebrew guys close to each other just ends up with a glut of people at that one area.

If the FBD Jamboree is an indication, the softer the ground the less chance of a face injury.

Got word this evening that all 2,000 tickets have been sold. First time it's sold out before the day of the event.

who did you hear this from?

Reason I ask is because i hear mixed reviews. I've heard that they only have 2,000 tickets and that they really have 2,500 tickets.

In like 07 or 08 they allowed everyone in and gave students entry for like 12 bucks....was terrible.

Wish I didnt have to work, I was considering going.

I went both of those years and I was a student both of those years. There was no discount for students. One of those years did suck though. I want to say it was 2008, but could have been 2009, but one of those years was a cluserfrick. Maybe their 3rd year putting it on. They sold tickets, but they also sold unlimited walk-up admission. Ended up being no room whatsoever and it was 85 degrees that day. My roommate and I sweet talked a Mockler girl and got a 6-pack each and walked back to the pond and drank until traffic cleared out. But yeah, no student discount. That would have been bad. Real bad.
