south us definitely in that number, but so are a lot of mid westerners

North-easterners are by far the worst.

And Canadians.

Try getting northerners to drink sweet tea, eat grits, or anything with seasoning.

Try getting a New Yorker to eat Chicago style pizza or vice versa.

In actual fact, every person is close minded. But that is taking this a bit far.

try getting a person from south Jersey or the Philly area to try a philly cheese steak anywhere beside philly or south jersey

Save New Yorkers and Bostonians you're probably not far off as well. I find a real easy way to tell what you can expect in an area is from the menu wording. If the menu item seems really dumbed down rather than calling it what its traditionally referred to as, then there's usually a really good reason for that with the customers who make funny faces and look real confused when they look at it or ask about it, or worse yet, don't ask and just remain comfortably confused.

Sometimes its just easier to say red sauce with meat in it than bolognese, or Rustic Italian bread than ciabatta.

nice, and the reason why I usually have three tea urns on my catering line.

That being said, Cafe Phonecia is delicious and a much needed addition to the generally crappy food available in Central. [Lookin' at you Sammy's...]

Well I'm not eating gumbo in Jersey and I'm not eating scrapple in Baton Rouge unless it's at my house and it's Habbersett that I've flown in. Which I do.

I might go try a Phoenician burger though.

Didn't realize it was open until I saw this thread. Went after work and picked up chicken shawarma dinner. Chicken was moist, large portion, could have had a bit more flavor. Came with feta salad, humus, rice pilaf. Humus and rice pilaf very good. Salad a tiny bit watery. Around $12 before tax. Ordered at welcome station and came out in less than 5 minutes. Will go back for dine in one day.

The dine in portions are huge. They could probably cut back a little but I won't tell them
