Bulgolgi, bibimbap, and banchan - Korean food that is incredible

Just had Korean food for the first time last night. I had bulgolgi bibimbap in a stone pot with a large plate of banchan on the site. I couldn't tell you what was on the plate outside of the kimchi.
It was really delicious, but something I was disappointed in was the price. My wife and I both got bibimbap meals and my son had a side of fried rice from the kid's menu. We all had waters. The total after tip was $50. Are most Korean places this expensive?
Anyway, I'm excited to have found a new cuisine. Anything else I should try from the Korean menu?

Where did you go?
I've always found Korean food to be relatively inexpensive. Now I will say often I go to Korea House with 5 or 6 people which tends to spread the total around.
Three rice dishes at $50 sounds a little high, but with tax and tip its not outside of norm for dinner for 3.

Yaki mandu, Korean dumplings, are pretty good. If you liked bibimbap, then you might also like kimbap.

Chong's in Auburn.
Our rice dishes were the cheapest on the menu. One issue is that I wasn't really sure how to order. They had a BBQ section that was mostly $29+ for each item. I tried asking our waitress if it was enough food to split, and she spoke pretty much no English outside of "menu, water, and thank you."

Are there any hot pot places around Baton Rouge or New Orleans?

Korean food never appealed to me. I guess I have to try it to like it.

I was in South Korea a few months ago. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. Cheap too.

Any other Nola advice? Have a craving now and want to make sure I haven't missed anything good in the scene

Thank you! I have been wanting to go to our Korean area in Houston (Long Point) but wouldn't have the slightest idea what I was doing.

Luh dat place. I usually roll with that big spicy beef soup that's about as red as the sun
