For those that have been, please recommend an entree for me.

Here's the menu to refresh your memory.

I'd also like to hear any other comments about the place. Ive already checked the reviews on the dining guide, which are in line with all the other rave reviews I've seen.

Any fish dish is good (can't go wrong with his seafood platter -- he serves the same thing for about half price at Charlie's in Harahan). I've had the duck as well, and it's top notch.

I have had both the rabbit and duck and enjoyed both of them. Can't go wrong with any of his seafood.

I love the seafood platter. It changes up a bit seasonally. Everything everyone at our table had when we last went was very good.

You sit in pretty close quarters, there, but it's lively and fun. The wait staff has been around for a while, so they are knowledgable.

Rabbit Tenderloin App and Seafood Platter for your entree.

Double Chocolate Cake and the Pecan Pie are both good dessert options.

Thanks, sounds like the seafood platter will have to be part of our meal. It will be nice to have one that is not fried.

It has a cult following, for sure ... But there are at least five better places within walking distance - IMHO

If you've never been to Brigtsen's,you should try it. It's not my favorite in the city, but it's very good.

I really enjoy the place. Like others have said all the seafood dishes are very good. Very good gumbo. Pulled pork app delicious. The house salad is one of the best

Well I live with one to start

I just don't get the love for the place. I mean I probably eat there about 12 times a year and it's good but never ever had a great meal there. I just don't get the love for the place. like I said earler, I much rather:

Boucherie
Matt and Naddies
One
Cote Sud
Dante's
I even prefer Maple Street Cafe over Brigtsen's

All within walking distance ...

Wizziko is to burger threads and Gordon Biersch as threeputt is to threads that mention Brighstens. To each his own.

ETA: I haven't been to Brigtsen's in a couple of years.
