Would you using a bag of ice still be ok or do I need to use more ice since I am doing more crawfish after I bring it up to a boil for about 2:30-3 minutes

It would dilute your water. Use frozen corn to bring temp down or frozen 2 liter bottles.

weve never changed after every sack, but after 4-5 sacks, a water change can be a good thing imo.

I have only heard that after 4+ it could be best to change your water.

I actually spend a good amount of time cleaning the shite out of my crawfish.

I put mine in when it starts boiling ... im sure it doesn't matter though

IMO, it does matter. Liquid is made up of spice extracts that I think may evaporate with boiling. I have no scientific proof, just what I have gleaned drinking beer over the boiling pot.

That's probably too much water

I'm not sure 2 sacks in a 100 qt is doable but it might be

If you don't have enough water, you can always add some once you cut the fire. The crawfish will have already boiled/steamed and the additional water will help cool and stop the cooking.

When boiling one sack, my 100 qt pot probably gets no more than about 10-12" of water

I have a mark on my paddle to be sure.

I don't typically boil more than 4 or 5 in a day, so I haven't really experienced this... what does changing the water out add or do? Just get rid of junk in it? I guess the main reason I never change the water is just that it's a hassle / extra work (cause you're right that if you want spicier, you can just adjust with fresh water)
