Boiling about 2 pounds of shrimp on the stove. What and how much seasoning should I use? Boil and soak time? Thanks!

Use the directions on the seasoning pack and calculate for 2 pounds. I'd double it at that point. Get the water boiling, put in seasoning and shrimp. Once it boils again give it 90 seconds or until you start seeing spaces form between the shell and the meat. Take it off the heat. I put the pot in the sink that I've half filled with water and drop in a gallon bag of ice to cool the boil water. Soak for about 20 minutes.

Go way heavy on crab boil. Bring to a rolling boil. Add shrimp and cut the fire. Start testing at about 8 minutes. Dump in a colander when they are ready and throw some ice on them

Steam in some old bay seasoning, top with a pinch of lemon juice, then dip in skimmed clarified butter

Hooters has this perfected

I do 2 lbs of the very large often.

Use half a bag of the powder Louisiana brand boil seasoning. Bunch of salt, probably 1/4 cup or so. A few glugs of liquid crab boil. A pouch of the meshed seasonings. Lemon or 2 halved and squeezed.

Get all that boiling on the side burner of gas grill. Add shrimp. Turn fire off in a minute or so. Let soak a couple minutes, and stir. Add some ice to avoid over cooking. Let soak about 20 minutes. Pour in colander, add some ice if needed.

Peel and eat.

Ooh!! Ooh!! I know this one!!

3 quarts water
3/4 cup of zatarans crawfish boil (big jar)
2-3 lemons juiced

Optional
Richards pork sausage slices
Corn
Mushrooms
Brussel sprouts

Boil water with crawfish boil, lemons juiced, sausage, and corn if you want it.

When it comes to a hard boil. Add mushrooms.

When it comes back to a hard boil, add shrimp. When shrimp float, (approx 5 minutes) take it all out. Its ready to eat.

If you dont want all the goodies, just boil seasoned water and throw in the shrimp for five minutes then pull.
