bullshite! I thought it was pretty good. And def better than my two visits to Second Line.

I like to support tiny operations like BC while they work to improve

Gets a lot of hate but I like most of their beers. I don't think I'm giving Cease to Love another shot though. That was dookie.

And yet still not the worst in the city. Wayward Owl is legitimately worse, IMO. And I've said my piece about Second Line before, so I won't bother now.

Scott's Nothing But Green is the best beer in the city, IMO.

When did Scot start producing that beer? I need to get back over there again soon.

It's a month old at this point, if it's still on. It was on Sunday when I was there. It's probably not long for this world at this point. He brewed it for the 420 fest.

And since Scott is a dick he probably won't make it again just because I told him how much I like it.

Went Wayward Owl, Brieux Carre, Parleaux all back to back to back two weeks ago.

Only thing that I finished at BC was that Skillet boudin burger. The beer was terrible. Awful.

Wayward at least had their DIPA and it was drinkable.

Second Line isn't the worst in the city.

I haven't been to Parleaux yet either. My weekends have been pretty busy, and aren't they open only on weekends? Maybe next weekend.

Who do you think is the worst? BC, I take it? Their beer at least doesn't have off flavors.

All of these breweries are still really new so I cut them a lot of slack.

I think the mavens are turned off early and by what they can get in cans so they write off the one-offs and small batchs that they develop over time.

Yeah, BC made me quit drinking for the night.

Went there a couple weeks ago. Its an ok set up but didn't care for their beer. They do live up to the lab name and had a lot of off the wall type of ingredients in the beers that made a lot of sense. I do like that they are right by Bacchanal so you can easily do both in an evening.

Just tasted like new brewery beer to me. Seems it takes places a good half year to get it dialed in when going from homebrewer to pro. I remember Courtyard tasting like sanitizer the first time I had their early stuff.

That's what Wayward Owl's Galactic Quaker IPA tasted like to me last night.

At least they tried?

ETA: I think Brieux Carre can make good beer. I don't know if they will. One of those, "We are printing money so we shouldn't rock the boat" type of situations. I'd like to think they would given how they seem like such stand up individuals.

Maybe I don't have renown taste buds like you, but BC Falcon Warrior DIPA is pretty solid imo

That beer was an awful amber malty mess. The ddh version was only slightly better.

You might remember the guy at Brieux. I heard from others that he had a really good reputation in the homebrewers circle.

I like that they are excited about what they are doing so I think it will get better. I don't know if they plan to concentrate on beer or distribution though.

He and I were briefly in Swamp Rat Brew Club during it's short life. He always made good homebrew. I think they're just finding their sea legs on a big boy system.

I can rattle off a half dozen breweries I had when they were new that tasted like butthole that are now awesome.

Urban South is one that caught a lot of shite early on and they have put out back to back quality beers.

Gnarly Barley would probably fall in to that category too

I liked it to. Guess I need to go back to beer school.
