What are the chances we'll see this in South Louisiana during the holidays? I don't know if I can go another year without this. I'll be surprised if Blue Bell is even in store freezers before the end of the year.

What do they put in their ice cream (other than listeria) that makes people love this otherwise pedestrian product so much?

Shitty ice cream with shittier management
I've been in the ice cream manufacturing industry the last 15yrs and have yet to see what is so redeeming about Bluebell.
They knowingly released contaiminated product to the market yet idiots are lined around grocery buildings for more.

Sounds like you wish those idiots were lined up for your product. Blue Bell is a top 10 polarizing subject here and there seems to be love for the product on one side and typical envy of success on the other.

It's just ice cream.

Has nothing to do with wishing we had Bluebells sales.

If anyone read the FDAs 483 reports you will find they knowlingly released product to consumers which far exceeded microbial standards.

I feel good going to sleep each night knowing that I'm not putting someone's life in danger.

I have no respect for someome that chooses otherwise. But by all means, line up

The listeria was an unintended industrial accident with a root cause of poor sanitization technique and frequency, so it plays no part in the love for their product.

A surprisingly strong tie for our feelings of love likely go back to a genetic propensity toward any milk product stimulated by the pleasant emotional responses that milk and milk product consumption create. All of these feelings are tied to early imprinting of ego during suckling activity.

The use of Brenan, Texas in their advertising brings associations of the product with Walter Brennan and the once popular show, "The Real McCoys".

Other than that, the only thing the product has going for it is the incredible rush of chowing down on excellent ice cream mixed with cookies.

Dog, your rambling reply in no way made sense. There are better products on the market to satisfy that propensity for returning to the suckling days of yore.

The Louisiana love for blue bell, much like that for crown royal, is just something I will not understand.

I'm envious of their success? I'm not in the ice cream business.

So Blue Bell almost killed people yet people still are lining up to buy it over whatever shite you're trying to push. What's that say about your stuff?

It's funny you think that Bluebell is, or was even close to being the industry leader in ice cream sales. Unilever and Nestle say hi.

It isn't nationally, but I imagine it's in the running in TX/LA as top seller.

If you don't think BB is good, what do you suggest as a better alternative?

CHEAP air filed crap...Edys and Breyers. Hell Nestle is a foreign company as well and you can have it. Blue Bell is the 3rd largest ice cream company in America and is/will be back in only 16 states.

I wouldnt consider Häagen-Dazs or Ben and Jerrys cheap. They are actually in a super premium category because they contain far less air than Bluebell.
You do know all ice cream contains air right?
