Just sampled a short glass of Blanton's Bourbon. Even before I sipped it, it had an aroma I've never had before. As stated in the description, "The taste profile is sweet with citrus and oak". It was delightful. I also thought it would be a perfect fit for an Old Fashioned. Has anybody else tried it? I think it comes in around $55.

I guess. It sits on the shelf around here because of other options.

The rarity contributes to the hype, if you ask me.

As someone else said, it's my go to. Always have a bottle of it. It was the first "legal" drink my dad bought me when I turned 21. I have turned a lot of my friends onto it. For a little while there was a major shortage of it

Rarity? It is on the shelf most places I shop for booze.

While it is not my personal favorite I do normally keep a bottle on hand, and yes, it contributes to an excellent old fashioned.

Nope. No one ever. You're the first person who's ever sampled Blantons.

I really like Blanton's, but I really don't like the single barrel concept. It's all bullshite and marketing. The barrel you're drinking from it could've been a good barrel or a bad barrel. It doesn't make it any better or worse than a normal bottle.

I recently tried a Blanton’s old fashioned and I am hooked. Almost too smooth, several can go down before you know it.
