I love watching Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmerman and I have always wanted to try some of the stranger stuff he has tried (cooked insects, strange meats, liquors infused with snakes, etc)

Are there any fun places in BR that specialize in foreign 'delicacies' like these that are also safe places to eat?

SIAP

TIA

Seriously? What do they have?

By "bizarre", I am not referring to a tape worm

but for real, I can't thing of many places that cook "bizarre" foods around BR, but I don't necessarily go looking. Most of it would be your normal coonass cuisine, but he's been there done that on the show.

It's in NOLA but you can eat bugs at the insectarium.

And if it smells bad, fry it up and put some hot sauce on it.

You can go to the westbank of New Orleans to the Oriental grocery store. Tons of crazy stuff in there...

Dim Sum off of Airline has a couple of dishes that count.

Chicken feet, I'm looking at you.

I've tried the chicken feet. Kind of weird. I would bite off a chunk, and not know if it was edible.

The flav was good though.
