Now, if someone has a tip on getting jalapenos off your hands before putting in your contact lens I'd like to hear it. Cause soap and water doesn't do it.

Always wear the disposable latex gloves. That's what I do.

I know that when you grew up, that there were those little multi-colored peppers gowing somewhere in New Iberia. Dem things are pure hell on eyelids rubbed by the hand that was just picking them

Had the same problem with tabasco and cayenne peppers. I would wash my hands 5 times with soap and hot water. Smelled them and couldn't get a whiff. Then flipped in the contact lens and it was like fire in my eyes.

They are also good for your rosebeds if you have them.

someone gave me a little stainless steel looking soap bar for xmas once and i thought wtf. It is absolutely one of the best gifts i have ever received. pulls any smell off your hands. Not sure where they bought it at though but I am sure bed bath and beyond or some place like that would carry them

I like the smell of onions.

This. I don't get why people complain about onion and/or garlic on their hands.

Wear disposable gloves while you're cutting them. Not expensive and well worth it.
