Some of the booths seem to have dialed down their creativity to pump out more volume since the fest keeps growing every year.

Everything I had was top notch on Sunday, but I think Boucherie's roast beef sandwich is one of the best.

I couldn't get to ninjas because it was so packed right there. Did they have the soft shell crab poboy?
Anyone try restaurant Revolutions dishes? They had long lines

Best thing I ate was the grilled chicken livers with pepper jelly.

No I don't blame them. That kind of volume and crowd would be tough to do. The crowd seems to get worse every year.
Overall the food is good. Especially for a festival.

Yum.
I didn't get to check out much because I am intolerable of crowds, so I remained in the same general area.
We had fish tacos from GW Fins, a seafood boudin type of sandwich from R'Evolution? (maybe Rouses; I think the booths were neighbors), fried oysters rockefeller pasta from IDK where, and a cochon de lait poboy with spicy mustard slaw from Love and First Bite.
The poboy was my favorite out of the 4.
I saw some good places on our way out of the festival, but I just wasn't in the mood to fight lines and crowds to look around, so I remained on my blankie/chair area and ate what was around me.

Yep, this was my favorite as well. Didn't get to make it into Jackson Square before the crowds got out of hand thanks to friends running late, so didn't get to eat anything in there unfortunately. Over by Esplanade I had the satchmo from Dreamy Weenies, which was a house made hot dog with red beans and rice on it. It was pretty tasty, as were the lamb sliders and feta fries from I forget where.
