morton's if you wanna be big balling
charley's if you want the 4th oldest restaurant in the city
crescent city steakhouse isnt bad either

I don't think so. It may make the top 10 (but even there it's probably pushing it) but there are definitely more than 4 restaurants in the city older than this.

my bad, they're #7 according to them, oldest in steak

and mortons IMO is an over prices ruth's, tad bit more in price, but the have prime rib

Are the prices at La Boca along the lines as Ruth Chris, Flemmings, Mortons, ect.?

Mr. John's.

Ruth's doesn't use prime beef on all their steaks, Mortons is average and overpriced.

I lived in N.O. for two years, and didnt go to any of these places. I had no money back then as well. I guess i'll have to make the drive from BR

Nope. A good deal cheaper, especially on wines, etc.

I don't understand why anyone would go to Morton's in a place like N.O. unless you just have an expense account that you need to blow some money with.

Yea, isnt Mortons a chain? If so, i always thought it was bad juju for myself to go to a chain restaurant in N.O.

Yes, it is a chain, but thats not the issue. The prices seem to be higher than any other steakhouse I know of(other than the Besh Steakhouse in the casino).

There are just too many other good steak places here to be paying that kind of money for Mortons.
