The Village
Without question

The Cub is not great at all, it's overly romanticized b/c of the building/atmosphere.

I love Superior Steakhouse, but it's expensive. Haven't been to 2John's, but I've heard only positive things. The Village is also expensive, but definitely the best, and very small and romantic.

The Cub steak is a glorified Outback in my opinion. It's way overpriced.

Superior Steakhouse is alright, but for the money, I'm going to The Village.

When Jack Binion owned the Horseshoe you couldn't get a better steak in the Shreveport/Bossier area. However, the quality has gone down since the casino was sold to Harrahs.

The majority of steak houses are overpriced. But, The Cub, simply makes the best au gratin potatoes I have ever had.

That can be a problem. If you tell your girl friend that she has beautiful tits the couple sitting 2 feet away will hear you.

True, but it's also really dark in there. Which is needed when I take my girlfriend out, so my wife doesn't find out.

Ever.

My wife and I have been to Texas St. Tavern. We had the NY Strip (my fav cut). It was really good. The only problem was that they kept the place so dark, that I literally could not tell if I was eating meat or gristle.

It's probably for the best they keep it dark - if it were bright your wife would catch you staring at your gorgeous waitress. I was shocked at the quality of girls working there, in Bossier City. Of course, they're mostly from Lafayette.

My thoughts on The Village vs. The Cub: The Cub is where I want to go for my birthday, The Village is where I want to go for my last birthday.

However, last time I was at the Village I had a coked out old waiter who damn near ruined the experience. The menu is all oral, and he kept tripping up and starting over. It was brutal.

We ate at Tx St Tavern and were underwhelmed. Way overpriced for the food you get. I ordered Oysters Bienville and it was void of oysters. Just dressing.....couldn't even locate a piece of an oyster in the dressing. $15 for 8 oyster shells full of dressing! I was more ticked off than anything else after thinking of the money we spent vs the quality of food we got. We vowed never to go back. We will go to 2Johns or Superior from now on.

Noble Savage does a good steak. Last time I had a filet topped with a mixture of goat cheese and butter.

In theory I love Noble Savage (a bar that serves awesome food, including things you can't get anywhere else in town) but I just can't get over the cigarette smell in there. And it seems like every time I get a scotch there the glass has weird shite floating in it. Maybe that's part of the charm.

Go to 2 Johns and pay the price. Best steak around.
Ernest's serves a good steak also.
Village is packed on top of each other, hate the atmosphere.

i am in no way a tigerdroppings baller so me and the wife like to go to longhorn on youree drive, saltgrass in the boardwalk, outback on line ave, or texas roadhouse next to rocking rodeo.

we usually go to longhorns though because it is pretty good food, it is cooked the right way, and the wait is usually not to bad.
