My husband and I want to go to dinner for our anniversary tomorrow night. Where's the best place for a filet? Thanks.

Also Little Village is another option considering its one of the only places that serves a Prime Cut of Filet.

I've always really liked the Ruth's Chris in BR. One of the better ones I've been to IMO. Stroube's is a great choice as well.

I get to BR for all the football games, plus another 4 times a year an always go to Ruth Chris's.
Have tried the others and like Ruth Chris's the best. Great steaks and sides and salads.

Very true

I had a great NY strip at TJ ribs last week however had some serious issues with the server, but will be back to get another

J Alexanders has great steaks and prob has the best "total package" (apps, salads, sides, service)

If you want something a little more romantic and not just a steak house, try going to Latils LAnding at Houmas House plantation, by far my favorite place to eat around BR, went last night and got the stuffed lobster over cerole tomato and crawfish rissoto and he does a great job on the filet as well

Houmas House is fantastic

If you want a fun, casual place and a great steak go to Doe's.

Calandro's sells "Prime" Filet's and I have bought them...and I have bought U.S.D.A. "Choice" from there as well as a PISMO from Sam's and with Filet's...there is not enough "Marbling" to make a significant difference in the taste...so don't fall for the hype...or the price.

That said...A Prime Cut of Filet is always a good choice! But so is Ruth's Chris. Sullivan's...and most, if not all, of the others people mentioned. Filets are like Jello...hard to mess up (unless overcooked).

Ruth's Chris. I order them "dry" so they are not swimming in butter.
