Grilled Ahi Tuna Salad Sandwich at Fish, New York City
They grill the tuna medium rare, cube it into large chunks and make a horseradish aioli and toss in some diced purple onions. It's served on toasted French bread with sliced pickles, lettuce and tomato.

Thick slice of fried Boar's Head garlic baloney on squishy white Wonder bread with a chunk of Velveeta, mayo, yeller mustard, onion, and tomato.

I like the garlic balogna but it is hard to find. I'd eat that one, sans mustard sitting on my tailgate in the middle of the field shooting doves. That is where that sandwich fits in for me.
My father was from Pennsylvania and his take on a hoagie is something I grew up eating. Only good bread he could ever find here was the French bread at Albertsons but it was pretty good.
Salami, ham, provolone cheese, thin sliced onion, lettuce, tomato, olive oil both sides of bread, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. That is a blast from my childhood. I like it after it has been sitting awhile to let that olive oil penetrate. Haven't made one since he died several years ago but I see one in my near future.

Arthur Bryant's burnt ends open faced sandwich (may be cheating):
Horseshoe (Texas Toast, hamburger, fries and cheddar cheese sauce):
Pork Tenderloin:
Geez, my heart is going to explode just looking at those.....

This would only be asked by someone living in Tampa
Give me the Miami version as the last great one I had was in Miami at Versailles.
