It seems like an awful lot of hype. I've never tried it, so I can't say. The pictures look OK, but I wouldn't have been compelled to try it based on the pics. (from Yelp)

Agreed - looks pretty standard from the pics I've seen... I just get the feeling that these are friends/employees posting to hype it up

I'll get some sometime over the next few days and post my honest review. Pizza is my favorite food and I worked in the pizza business for 8 or so years in the northeast so I consider myself a pretty legit judge.

MCP is the true LA GOAT for Pizza.

Bub's Burgers just opened across the street (attached to Banks Street Bar) and is amazing if any (Mid City) NOLA peeps have not checked it out yet. Bub's is owned and operated by the same group as MCP and Banks.

I've heard that NOLA Pizza Co. is superior to MCP but I haven't had the chance to try it yet.

Man, such a tossup. MCP has their shite together even though quality has dropped a little. NOLA puts out a good pie, but their attitude whem dealing with them is fricking brutal. They are New York as frick with being assholes for no reason and without merit.

Went from "ugh; we always have slices available" to "gonna need a 20 mimutes to get some pizza for you other orders are ahead of slices"

Not friends with or know the owner and I won’t claim it’s the best in the state but I live down here and have eaten at Diversion Pizza multiple times now and it is fantastic.

My favorite pizza is the pesto veggie. The pesto sauce and the mozzarella-feta cheese mix are delicious.

As far as the crust goes, there is a lot but it tastes really good

I mean. You’ve obviously made your mind up and are friends with the owner.

Then you “challenge” people to “prove you wrong”

Someone told you the pizza they like better already.

And that person had never eaten one from diversion, I had never eaten one from Mid city, I suggested we both try the other and report back

Get your facts straight

I’m not gonna play some stupid game and say I’ve had every pizza in Louisiana to be able to compare but I have had Diversion and it was fantastic, their doing damn good pies and for anybody to say differently based on 1 pic is ridiculous
It’s absolutely better than anything then I’m getting local in Laffy
Wish the delivery range was bigger…

At this point I’m convinced that Diversion Pizza is a big inside joke I’m not privy to

It’s not a joke. It’s just a really good pizza.

I agree. There are 3 yelp reviews on the place, but there have already been 3 separate thread on the FB board with 100 people proclaiming how great it is. Seems odd. But I'll admit that all the chatter has piqued my interest enough to make the 45 minute drive out there one day.

I ate it last night, the Adams Family and the Spicy Italian. They were both great. The crust is really what sets it apart. The owners were also really friendly
