I repeat - Ancora. Only certified Neapolitan pizza in the state, I believe...

Deano's is very good pizza. I was born on the Northside so I'm inclined to say Pizza Village is my favorite. Deano's is delicious though. I'd recommend it.

I know it's NOT Louisiana Pizza Kitchen. I've probably eaten there 100 times over the last decade, but for some reason their blend of ingredients never really works for me. My wife is a fan though, and we used to live around the corner from their Corporate Blvd. location.

Fleur De Lis is certainly unique, but I wouldn't give them best in state. Offhand, I'd give my vote to De'Angelo's. They've got some decent combos, and I was impressed with the crust the last few times I was there.

For pure nostalgia, I'd say the Italian place that used to be in Cortana Mall. I don't remember the name, but it was near the corridor that led down to Mervyn's. The pizza probably wasn't that good in retrospect, but the memory of going to "The Mall" for dinner is pretty strong. Also I took a chick there when I was 16, and I got a BJ in the car driving home. That may have something to do with the fond memories.

Went to a basketball game in Monroe last year and stopped at Johnny's because of this board. It was good pizza, don't get me wrong, but I was expecting something amazing. Doesn't compare to Deano's or Pizza Village
