Impastato's is one of my favorite restaurants in Metairie. It's Italian.

Metairie is mostly chain restaurants and Mom and Pop spots don't seem to do well, also there are few easy to spot places to eat that aren't chains.

If you like chains Zea's and Cheesecake Bistro are solid.

If you want something new, there are a few decent Vietnamese places. Phil's Grill is good for a burger. But for the most part I recommend New Orleans or Kenner.

World Deli on Clearview right off of West Esplanade behind the Shell Station. Little mom and pop owned place. Best Roast Beef Po-BOy period.

Should've come to the lake, and tried R&O's. Oh well, hope you had a good meal.
