I keep hearing great things about the Asian Seafood House on Florida and Sherwood, with some comparing it to Omi. Since Omi and Nine Dragon Noodle House shut down Ive been missing good Chinese.

In BR proper, Asian Seafood House. On the outskirts, Lee's in Watson & Foo Chow in Walker. Great Taste on O'Neal is pretty solid also.

A thread on this very same topic was made a few months ago. Maybe someone can find it for reference.

I know youre talking about a different type of Chinese but I love Oriental Pearl on Sherwood and Coursey. Probably more sentimental than anything

It's been years, but, I found that OP was great at lunch, not so much at dinner, usually because they tried to stretch the some leftovers from the lunch buffet into dinner.

The lunch buffet was excellent. Funny was I saw the elderly Asian lady give some big woman hell for trying to stuff too much into the styrofoam clamshell for a buffet takeout. "You no come back".

As nice as she is to everyone that goes in there, I could definitely see her doing that

Is there even “good” Chinese takeout in Baton Rouge (like EBR city limits and St. George)?

For take out China Star

Thanks, I'll try them - place and menu looks good - I've been going to China Taste (Highland/Staring) for a long time, but they stopped all dine-in eating, the food is not quite the same as before (up and downs), and the interior is getting a weird 3rd world feel when you walk in, and the open hours are not always what they list - you can see into the kitchen and... anyway, the China Star is close so I'll give it a try for take-out -
