I'll bite too.

I prefer beans in my chili. I like the texture it gives as well. A chili with no beans gets boring and winds up on hot dogs.

I'll email you a recipe later this evening if you would like. My mother made a "cook book" years ago and her recipe has won her a few competitions over the years. I've altered it a tad to suit my own tastes.

I just ate some leftover chili for lunch.

It was just one of the 2-alarm boxes, with half ground turkey and half ground beef. Started with a little bacon fat to brown the onions and garlic, then the meat, then a little tomato sauce and the seasonings.

Delicious with a little cheddar cheese.

Just make 10 gallons of that and you'll be doing better than most teams.

I like to add bacon and hot breakfast sausage to my chili. Also, I use beer instead of water. Has received rave reviews

Sometimes I make it with beans. Sometimes I make it without beans. Both are tasty

But the thing is, this guy is in a cook off and it's probably not allowed

You won't win a chili competition with beans or tomatoes.

Just make it straight red. Meat, shortening, and seasonings.

frick putting tomatoes/veggies/other bullshite in chili.
