My favorite cabs come from the SIMI vineyards. The regular bottles are great and fairly priced. SIMI reserve is top shelf and moderately expensive (~80$) but is extremely good. That is probably the best wine I ever drank. I keep a couple bottles for very very special occaisions because I cant afford to drink that stuff on the reg.

I bought the Columbia Crest at NOLA Costco today for around $8. Two bottles. Also the Line 39. Found several of those wines there. We'll find out on Christmas Day.

I pass that place every morning and have a friend who is a chemist there and still have never had their wines.

Had the William Hill at city pork the other night.

J Lohr and Josh also fall in the sub $20 price range. I normally drink Rex Goliath at $7/bottle as my house wine. I am cheap but it is way better than most in the sub $10 price range.

Had a little party this weekend. Supplied Columbia Crest Cab, Kirkland Signature Old Vine Zinfandel, Francis Ford Coppola Pinot Noir, Alto Adige Pinot Grigio, and Pannier Champagne. All of the wines except for the champagne were under $10 and at Costco. I picked them because they all got 8.6-8.8 on Delectable from regular users and pros/somms.

I guess i should have explained better for people like you.

The regular bottles are about 20 bucks. It is only the reserve bottles that are expensive.

Picked up two bottles of Columbia Crest yesterday and opened one last night, the hype is real. If you can find it, get it.
