Lots of good picks listed but Basil's Hayden may be my number 1 at this price range. Bought a bottle of Elmer T Lee recently for under 40 but it isn't regularly available.

Depends on the flavor profile you like. Woodford is tough to beat for quality if you like a sweeter taste. I hear Weller is one of the better values if you can find it. Johnny drum is very good for $28. McKenna was alright. Buffalo Trace is damn fine for the price.

Like to add Blanton's, Basil Hayden, Buffalo trace and Maker’s Mark when I make an old fashioned.

While I've tried most of those mentioned, for an everyday simple drink I enjoy Wild Turkey 101. Never hard to find.

I alternate between Buffalo Trace and Four Roses Yellow Label. Both are around $20 and are excellent for that price. If I'm going for something higher end, I'll usually spend it on a single malt.

You might also look into some Rye whiskey. Rittenhouse Rye is very good and right at about $20
