not sure how it compares to other places but we stumbled upon Barracuda Tacos on Tchoupitoulas last weekend...I enjoyed it

The key is simply finding a place w the best refried beans made w lard and ample bacon drippings. Refried beans can be hit or miss even at nicer or expensive places so don't let that fool you.
