I had some ribs and brisket today at City Pork Deli. They’d get my vote right now for best bbq restaurant in the city.

I have had great BBQ in places with a dirt floor (Debbie's - Hemphill, TX), but Podhuh's is disgusting and the BBQ is just awful.

I don't know which is best, I have to make frequent trips to Alabama, I save my BBQ needs for those trips, it is the safest thing to order in the whole state (excluding south of I-10).

Baton Rouge just isn't a BBQ town. We know hockey better than Barbecue.
One of the local BBQ owners told me he had to change the way he cooked his ribs to accommodate the uneducated clientele.
His ribs were being sent back because they were undercooked. Apparently they were not falling off the bone and a large majority of his customers sent them back to be cooked more.
